Cookie policy
The short version: we set no tracking cookies, run no analytics and show no consent banner, because there is nothing here to consent to.
01 The short version
This site stores one thing in your browser: which language you chose, English or Portuguese. Nothing else. No analytics, no advertising tags, no social pixels, no cross-site tracking, no cookie wall.
That is why you do not see a consent banner. Under Cabo Verdean law and the EU ePrivacy rules, consent is needed for storage that is not strictly necessary for the service you asked for. A language preference you set yourself does not meet that bar — and we have not added anything that does.
02 What we store

This value stays in your browser. It is never sent to our server, it carries no identifier, and it cannot be used to recognise you anywhere else.
03 What third parties may set
- Google Fonts
- Your browser fetches our typefaces from
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com. Google does not set cookies for these requests, but it does receive your IP address and browser details, because the request goes to Google rather than to us. - Formspree
- Only when you actually submit a form. Formspree may set a cookie at that point for spam prevention and rate limiting. Browsing the site without submitting anything involves Formspree not at all.
- GoDaddy
- Our host or CDN may set a strictly necessary cookie for security and load balancing. It carries no marketing data.
04 How to control it
Every browser lets you inspect and delete what a site has stored, usually under Settings → Privacy, or in the developer tools under Application → Storage. Clearing site data for escordium.com removes the language preference.
If you block storage entirely, the site still works — it just opens in English each time and you pick your language again. Nothing else depends on it.
05 If this changes
If we ever add analytics, embedded video, a chat widget or anything else that sets a non-essential cookie, we will update this page and ask for your consent before it is set, not after. The date at the top of the page tells you when this was last true.
